Thanks for all the work you are doing to help members of Congress understand the devastating affects of the Rescission. Although we were not affected as badly as some other states, we are holding our breath as the State calculates local impacts.
We sent letters to every member of the California Delegation asking them to make WIA a funding priority, and describing the loss of services to their local businesses and constituents. We are also going to launch an aggressive campaign to get members of Congress out to see our system.
Thanks for all you work on the WIA Rescission.
I am currently working with all WIB members on sending letters to Congress. We have asked them to make Workforce funding a priority and how the decrease in funding effects our local area.
We are currently meeting with staff from our Congressional Delegation.
Also trying to work with the other WIB Directors in Ohio to get letters sent to the Ohio Congressional Delegation about the importance of Workforce funding in Ohio and how the rescission will effect their local area.
